La pieza de John Barry para Sólo se vive dos veces es un trabajo de arte profundo y bonito. Combinando temas familiares de Bond con sonidos de música oriental, barry creó una harmonía que - junto a la de 007: Al Servicio Secreto de Su Majestad - se mantiene como la mejor contribución a las películas de 007. La encantadora canción inicial tiene letra poética de Leslie Bricusse quien, junto a la voz de Nancy Sinatra, aumenta su impacto desmesuradamente. Barry también ofrece un importante número de maravillosos temas que complementan las escenas de acción y de amor magníficamente. Parte importante del suspense del climax final hay que atribuirlo al trabajo de Barry.
